Love Not War is celebrating this month. Not only have we launched our most sustainable product yet, the Maya, but we’ve also won TWO prestigious awards!
From the beginning, we set out to create products that would give people the pleasure they deserve, so getting these awards and being recognised by our industry peers in this way, is proof that our goal is most certainly becoming a reality.
The first award win is a GOLD iF Design Award, the highest recognition they give, for our outstanding design achievements. The iF Design Award is one of the world’s most prestigious design awards so this really is an incredible achievement for us. Organised in Germany since 1953, the iF seal signifies great product design for consumers and the design community and being recognised at all is a huge achievement never mind to actually be awarded a gold. We are amongst some incredible companies (like Apple!) that we at Love Not War take huge inspiration from, and getting this award has only furthered our drive to continue designing and creating products that are loved by both our customers and other industry professionals.
A big part of our product design is the detachable heads feature which enables you to use just one rechargeable battery base with all of our interchangeable vibrator heads. This allows you to have multiple products in one. This has been a game changer for us and for the sex toy industry as a whole, especially when it comes to sustainability. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the iF Design Award team for recognising all of our hard work and our dedication to our craft.
Our second award was a Red Dot Award for our very own Koi vibrator. The Red Dot Award has become known as a much sought after ‘seal of quality’ across the world and is presented only to products that have an outstanding design feature. So naturally we are beyond thrilled to be awarded one. The Koi has been dubbed the “world’s most sustainable wand”, with four intensity levels, and seven vibration patterns, you can create your own journey. Love Not War co-founders, Will and Rob, both worked in the industry for several years and knew that the potential was there to create toys that were not only eco-conscious but were also extremely popular with consumers, they just needed some hard work and determination to bring their vision to life.
The Red Dot Awards have been running in their current form since 1992 and now have more than 18,000 entries every year from design professionals, companies and organisations from over 70 countries and have come to be considered one of the world’s largest and most renowned design competitions.
